HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT HONOURS WFS AS ‘BEST COMPANY FOR CUSTOMER FOCUS’ IN 20TH ANNIVERSARY AWARDS

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has been recognized as the ‘Best Company for Customer Focus’ in Hong Kong International Airport’s (HKIA) 20th Anniversary Awards to honour outstanding individuals, teams and companies for service excellence, and to encourage the airport community to continuously pursue exceptional customer service.

In addition, HKIA honoured 67 members of the WFS team working at the airport in its annual Customer Service Excellence Programme (CSEP). The WFS awardees provide Ancillary Passenger Services Operations and Baggage Handling for customers in Hong Kong and all received a Certificate of Appreciation in the Individual and Corporate Excellence Award categories in a ceremony officiated by Frank Chan, Secretary for Transport and Housing, and Fred Lam, Chief Executive Officer of Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA).

About 1,000 of the airport’s 73,000 employees were awarded this year for customer service excellence and providing a pleasant airport experience for passengers.

Mr Chan said: “To achieve excellence, an airport should not only provide the best facilities, but also need to enhance the quality of service continuously. In the past 20 years, HKIA has been recognised as the ‘best airport’ over 70 times by the aviation industry. This proud result is the joint achievement of the AA, relevant business partners, as well as the whole aviation industry. I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to all the airport staff for their contributions in the past 20 years.”

WFS – which achieved a 40% increase in its number of CSEP Awards this year – also presented gift vouchers to its winners to recognise their support of the company’s commitment to delivering world class service, safety and security at all its airport locations across the globe.
