History

WFS,leader throughout the Aviation Community over 120 of the world's airports.

Worldwide Flight  Services Since the company’s founding in 1983, WFS has established itself as a leader throughout the Aviation Community by providing a broad array of quality and reliable Ground Services. WFS has flourished in scope and presence and now services over 107 of the world’s major airports.

2009
WFS India launches Ramp and Passenger handling services and wins a 25-year concession to build and operate a Cargo Terminal in Delhi airport.

2008
WFS takes a 60% stake in BA Regional Cargo.

2006
LBO France acquired WFS.
WFS awarded Ground Handling licenses at Roissy (CDG) and Orly Airports.

2005
WFS was awarded a Cargo Handling License at Copenhagen Airport. WFS acquired France Handling, the French leader in Cargo Handling Services, to airlines and freight forwarders.

2004
WFS was awarded Ground Handling franchises at New Bangkok Airport.

Worldwide Flight  Services

2002
The Vinci Group procured majority stake holding in EFS (formerly SEN Group) and integrated this business within the WFS portfolio.

2001
The Vinci Group acquired WFS, and operated it as part of the Vinci Airport Management division.

1999
As a part of a divestiture of AA’s non-core business, AMR Services Corporation was sold to Castle Harlan. Castle Harlan named the purchased business Worldwide Flight Services.

1996
Regional offices were opened in Hong Kong to handle Aircraft Ramp Handling Services, Passenger Terminal Services, Baggage Handling Services, and Processing Services in Asia.

1983
American Airlines (AA) formed AMR Services Corporation to outsource its Ramp, Passenger, and Terminal services that were separate from AA’s core business of operating flights. AMR Services Corporation will eventually become WFS.
